Queer City

2019 P&G / BMW
Art Direction-Brand Identity-Experiential Design

Visual brand identity for a first-of-its-kind pop-up museum and multimedia exhibit featuring stories and objects that span 80 years of queer life in NYC.

For WorldPride 2019/NYC Pride, CNN Courageous with sponsors P&G and BMW produced a first-of-its-kind pop-up museum and multi-media exhibit Queer City: A CNN Experience to commemorate queer individuals in NYC.

In just four months, we accumulated more than 300 artifacts explaining what life was like for the queer community in New York City, from 1940 to today.

For Queer City, the concept was personal, celebratory, brave. The exhibit's focus was on personal stories and personal objects. The final result was an exhibit that was beautiful, engaging, heartfelt, and meaningfully focused on the human connection.
